Project B4 • Microstructured Surfaces for Spatially Resolved Catalysis

Surfaces functionalized in a spatially resolved fashion with precision designed metallopolymers featuring defined chain lengths will be established. The functionalization will be carried out via photolithographic methods. Surface tethered reactive groups (‘caged dienes‘, ‚caged enes‘) will be photolytically activated and subsequently reacted with either ligands, metal complexes, or the noted metallopolymers. On the long term, the thus obtained surfaces will be used for sequential organic reactions in a flow reactor.
